Departing Point San Pablo in Richmond California, Raptor Sportfishing owned and operated by Captain Bob Beard with 40 plus years experience has been passionate about fishing since he was a young boy and has worked and ran both large inspected charter boats down to smaller six pack boats along the west coast from the San Francisco Bay Area to Cook Inlet Alaska.
Spending a large majority of his time in the SF Bay Area working and running charter boats under some of the greatest pioneers in the charter boat industry since 1980. Bob decided to get into the business on his own purchasing a vessel in the year 2002 and since then he has upgraded twice to larger, faster and more comfortable state of the art six pack boat for a more memorable experience.
If your an experienced avid fisherman or a beginning novice angler that would like to learn the art and technique of saltwater fishing for species such as halibut, striped bass, sharks, lingcod, rockfish and sturgeon at the same time enjoying the scenic San Francisco Bay and it’s surrounding waters give Captain Bob a call to book a memorable fishing trip of a lifetime.
Our mission at Raptor Sportfishing is to help every angler from beginner to pro have the best possible fishing experience. We do this by offering a wide range of quality products, from custom rods and reels to bait and tackle as well as personalized advice and tips from an experienced owner/captain on a comfortable modern vessel equipped with state of the art electronics.
8 hours of inland and near coastal fishing for halibut, salmon, bass, lingcod, rockfish, sharks and sturgeon.
All gear, bait and fish cleaning/packaging are included.
Not included are fishing license, lunch and gratuities.
Seasonal from November through December, 8 hours of near coastal crabbing for Dungeness crab and fishing for lingcod, rockfish or stripers after to finish up the day.
Includes all gear, bait, fish cleaning/packaging and supplies to boil your own crab if requested.
Not included are fishing license, lunch and gratuities.
On this trip we target larger sharks such as the Seven Gill Cow Shark, Six Gill Cow Shark and the Soupfin Shark.
This trip requires heavy gear and specialty baits which are all included.
We promote catch and release in most cases now of the larger sharks but are happy to keep enough of the smaller ones for table fair. (California Fish and Wildlife Limits Apply)
Shark cleaning and packaging is included.
Not included are fishing license, lunch and gratuities.
Even though targeting fish of a lifetime in the Bay Area is our main passion we do also provide other water services to customers that would like to experience other things such as waterfront tours, nature trips, water taxi service, on water maintenance activities and memorable ash scatterings of loved ones at their desired place of rest we can accommodate it all professionally.
Enjoy a day of fishing in comfort, style and speed aboard the “Jenalynn Nicole” a 26 foot Duckworth Offshore powered by twin Yamaha F200 outboards with a cruising speed of over 30 mph and a top speed of nearly 50 mph will get you to the fishing grounds quickly to provide more fishing time then running time.
This fully licensed and insured modern vessel is fully equipped for your comfort and safety which includes full electronics (2-10” monitors at front helm and 15”and 10” monitors at the rear station that all have GPS, Fish Finder and Radar capabilities), comfortable seating inside with a dinette, walk in bathroom“head”, cabin heater, refrigerator, microwave oven to heat your food and a forward bunk to take a nap on the way in after a full day of fishing.
